Garden Club Winners Honoured
Ceremony Celebrates Excellence in Gardening, Sustainability, and Environmental Innovation

Shaikha Maraam bint Isa Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development, honored the winners of the Bahrain Garden Club’s annual competitions during an awards ceremony attended by Engineer Zahra Abdulmalek, President of the Bahrain Garden Club, along with officials and individuals interested in agriculture and environmental affairs.
Shaikha Maraam praised the high standard of entries submitted across the various categories, emphasizing that the club’s annual competitions serve as an important platform for promoting gardening and tree-planting culture, encouraging creativity and innovation, and raising awareness of sustainability and environmental conservation.
The ceremony recognized winners across a wide range of categories. Fareeda Juma secured first place in the His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Home Gardens Cup, while numerous participants were honored in photography competitions, specialized gardening categories, and horticultural displays.
Awards were also presented in categories including sustainable gardens, rare plants, water gardens, and rock gardens. In the environmental garden category for commercial institutions, The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain and Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay shared first place for their outstanding environmental landscaping efforts.
The event also celebrated schools that excelled in garden production, educational gardens, and garden art competitions, recognizing their contribution to fostering environmental awareness and agricultural knowledge among students and encouraging engagement with sustainability concepts.
