A newly completed home in Budaiya remains unoccupied after a low road level prevented the connection of essential utilities, including electricity and water.
The property, located on Plot 3218 on Road 5769 in Block 557, is fully constructed but cannot be occupied due to technical issues affecting service installation.
Northern Municipal Council member Mohammed Saad Al Doseri, who represents the Third Constituency, has called for urgent action, stressing that the homeowner cannot move into a ready property because of infrastructure constraints.
According to Al Doseri, the issue emerged when the homeowner approached the Electricity and Water Authority to complete service connections. It was then discovered that the adjacent road level is too low, preventing the required technical work.
Consequently, electricity and water connections are delayed until the road is raised and aligned with required engineering standards.
He added that the municipal council had previously submitted requests to address these gaps, and recommendations were already issued, but residents are still awaiting implementation of the necessary works.
