Authorities in Bahrain dismantled a drug trafficking operation involving a 37-year-old Nigerian national and a 27-year-old African investor, following an arrest in the Juffair district.

Security forces detained the two suspects in a building reception area while executing an arrest warrant. The second suspect was found in an abnormal condition, prompting a detailed search that uncovered drugs and cash in multiple currencies.

Police said the first suspect was carrying cash believed to be drug proceeds, along with a mobile phone. The second suspect was found in possession of marijuana and additional cash.

A search of the first suspect’s residence led to the discovery of Lyrica tablets, marijuana, hashish, precision scales, a grinder, and packaging materials used for drug distribution.

Investigations revealed that the first suspect admitted to drug use, while the second suspect allegedly assisted in deliveries in exchange for narcotics. Phone analysis reportedly showed evidence of drug sales, including images of narcotics and delivery coordination.

Forensic reports confirmed the presence of cocaine, hashish, marijuana, and pregabalin. The case is scheduled for a court verdict on June 30.
