BIAS 2016 attracts over 100 international trade media
Around 580 members of the media have attended the fourth edition of the Bahrain International Airshow 2016 (BIAS), say the organisers.
The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications Director of PR and Marketing Maysoon Sabkar stated that of the 580 attending media, around 120 were international media, representing 21 countries.
“We are very pleased to have welcomed so many members of the press, from broadcast, print, and digital media, including a large number of aviation photographers.”
“The largest concentration of international journalists was from the UK and then China, followed by the Netherlands, UAE and Kuwait. Other nationalities represented included the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, France, Russia and India,” she explained.
“The local and international media has played a central role in showcasing the show’s success in local, regional, and international media outlets and in extending the reach of the news stories on record deals. The participation is testament to the Kingdom’s international standing, and reflects the cosmopolitan spirit of Bahrain,” she added.
