Emergency Teams Test Coordination

Bahrain’s General Directorate of Ports Security, in cooperation with the Coast Guard and Masar Group, a company specialising in maritime transport, carried out a maritime evacuation exercise at the King Fahd Causeway aimed at strengthening emergency preparedness and response capabilities.

The exercise was conducted as part of ongoing efforts to raise readiness levels and ensure swift coordination when dealing with emergency situations.

Authorities said the drill was designed to test approved emergency plans and procedures while enhancing cooperation between the participating agencies. The operation focused on improving rapid response mechanisms to safeguard lives and property during incidents requiring urgent intervention.

The training exercise included implementing several emergency scenarios in line with established operational plans. Officials said the exercise also aimed to improve the efficiency and preparedness of participating teams in handling various emergency conditions.

The authorities added that the drill helped assess the effectiveness of joint coordination mechanisms between the relevant agencies, reinforcing integrated efforts in crisis and emergency management.
