Royal Medical Services Enhances Cooperation with Turkish Healthcare

As part of an official visit to the Republic of Türkiye, Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Medical Services and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Overseas Treatment, visited Medipol University Hospital to review advanced expertise in prosthetics and medical rehabilitation.
The visit is part of the Royal Medical Services’ ongoing efforts to enhance specialised and rehabilitation healthcare services in Bahrain and benefit from leading international medical experiences in the field.
During the visit, the Commander of the Royal Medical Services was briefed on the latest technologies and specialised practices in prosthetic design and manufacturing, as well as advanced rehabilitation techniques and patient care systems aimed at improving quality of life. He also reviewed modern therapeutic approaches used to support patients and enhance recovery outcomes.
The discussions further explored opportunities for cooperation and knowledge exchange between the two sides, focusing on leveraging global best practices to develop rehabilitation and specialised care services within Bahrain’s Royal Medical Services.
On the sidelines of the visit, Brig. Gen. Dr. Shaikh Fahad also conducted a field visit to a specialised company focused on mobile medical clinics and field ambulance solutions.
The visit highlighted modern operational systems and medical equipment used in mobile clinics and emergency field units, which support rapid medical response, patient transport, and healthcare delivery in field conditions. The discussions also covered operational mechanisms and integration with emergency preparedness and response plans to strengthen Bahrain’s medical readiness.
