Bahrain Explores Global AI Partnerships
The meetings focused on strengthening cooperation in technology, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.
Al Qaed met with Dr. He Ruiming, Chief AI Officer at Singapore’s Ministry of Digital Development and Information, where both sides exchanged expertise in AI governance and discussed Singapore’s National AI Strategy. During the meeting, Al Qaed highlighted Bahrain’s efforts in developing its National AI Strategy, adopting AI technologies, and implementing related policies and initiatives aimed at building national capabilities in the field.
The discussions also covered the role of the iGA’s innovation hub in developing AI-powered government solutions, as well as Singapore’s experience in developing Large Language Models for Southeast Asia and opportunities for future collaboration.
On the sidelines of the event, Al Qaed also met with Google Vice President and Global Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy, Karan Bhatia. The meeting explored opportunities for cooperation in digital infrastructure development and enhancing government services through advanced technologies.
In another meeting, Al Qaed met with Lu Song Ming, Director General of the Science and Technology Department of Sichuan Province in China, to discuss cooperation in technology, research, and development. The discussions also reviewed Bahrain’s experience in digital twinning and opportunities for collaboration in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.
Additionally, the iGA Chief Executive met with Peter Schwartz, Chief Futures Officer at Salesforce, to discuss cooperation in digital infrastructure, customer service systems, Agentic AI, and future technologies.
