UAE Embassy in Bahrain Celebrates International Day of Families

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Bahrain organised a cultural event to mark International Day of Families, coinciding with the UAE’s declaration of 2026 as the “Year of Family”.

The event was attended by Hala bint Mohamed Jaber Al Ansari and Fahad Mohammed bin Kardous Al Ameri.

Ambassador Al Ameri said the occasion reflects the deep-rooted relations between the UAE and Bahrain, highlighting the importance both nations place on strengthening family values, social cohesion and national identity.

He noted that the UAE’s “Year of Family” initiative demonstrates the country’s commitment to supporting family stability and empowering families as a foundation for sustainable development and social harmony.

The event also featured a panel discussion with academics and social development specialists, who discussed the role of family in preserving values, strengthening psychological wellbeing and adapting to modern social changes while maintaining cultural identity.

Speakers stressed the importance of cooperation between families, educational institutions, media organisations and civil society to reinforce family values and address contemporary social challenges.

At the conclusion of the event, Ambassador Al Ameri presented commemorative gifts and certificates of appreciation to the participants in recognition of their contributions to promoting family awareness and cultural dialogue.
