Bahrain Interior Minister Reaffirms Strong UAE Ties During Visit
His Excellency Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, paid an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, underscoring the strong fraternal relations and deep historical ties between the two countries.
At the outset of the visit, Shaikh Rashid expressed pride in the longstanding relationship between Bahrain and the UAE, reaffirming that the ties between the leaderships and peoples of both nations remain firmly rooted in shared values and mutual cooperation.
He highlighted the high level of security coordination and collaboration between the two countries, commending ongoing joint efforts aimed at strengthening regional stability and enhancing security frameworks across the Gulf region.
During the visit, the minister delivered the opening address at the Abu Dhabi Global Summit on Sustainable Security 2026, held alongside the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience 2026.
In his remarks, Shaikh Rashid described the UAE as a model nation that approaches security not merely as operational procedures, but as a “civilizational project” rooted in stability, human development, and long-term strategic vision. He noted that the summit comes at a time of rapidly evolving global security challenges, making dialogue and cooperation more important than ever.
The visit further reinforced the strong Bahrain-UAE partnership, reflecting continued commitment from both sides to deepen coordination in areas of security and regional peace.
