HM King Holds Talks With Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council Chairman

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received General Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council, and his accompanying delegation during an official visit to Bahrain.

The meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King.

During the talks, His Majesty welcomed the Sudanese leader and reviewed the strong brotherly relations between Bahrain and Sudan, as well as ways to enhance cooperation across various fields in support of mutual interests.

His Majesty reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and highlighted the importance of continued coordination between the two countries.

The discussions also covered regional and international developments, including the latest situation in Sudan and ongoing efforts aimed at achieving a permanent ceasefire, preserving Sudan’s sovereignty and unity, and facilitating humanitarian aid delivery across the country.

His Majesty expressed appreciation for Sudan’s supportive stance toward Bahrain and its solidarity following the recent Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom.

For his part, General Al Burhan thanked His Majesty the King for the warm welcome and hospitality, reiterating Sudan’s solidarity with Bahrain and condemning the attacks against the Kingdom.

Following the meeting, His Majesty hosted a luncheon in honour of the Sudanese leader and his delegation.
