First Global Engineering Forum Opens

The University of Bahrain has launched the First International Conference on Modern Engineering Trends, bringing together a wide range of academics, researchers, and industry experts from across the globe.
The event, held virtually, was inaugurated by Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dainah.
In his remarks, Dr. bin Dainah said the rapid evolution of engineering and technology calls for practical innovation that supports sustainable development goals.
He highlighted the need for stronger systems, improved industrial efficiency, and resilient infrastructure that can keep pace with global change.
The minister underlined the importance of collaboration between universities, government institutions, and the private sector in developing national talent and equipping them to effectively use emerging technologies to support long-term development goals.
He praised the University of Bahrain for organizing the conference and commended the efforts of the College of Engineering and the organizing teams.
University President Dr. Fouad Mohammed Al-Ansari said the institution continues to strengthen its role in national development through research and innovation, adding that the conference reflects its commitment to global academic cooperation and preparing students for future challenges.
