Bahrain, US Explore New Avenues for Financial Cooperation
Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy met US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in Washington to discuss strengthening bilateral economic and financial ties.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Spring Meetings of the IMF and World Bank Group.
Shaikh Salman reaffirmed the strength of Bahrain–US relations and highlighted ongoing cooperation in financial and economic sectors, stressing the need to build on existing ties and expand future opportunities.
The talks were attended by Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United States Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa and Central Bank of Bahrain Governor Khalid Ibrahim Humaidan.
Both sides also exchanged views on recent regional developments and global economic trends.
