CENTCOM Chief Visits Bahrain, Signals Continued US Commitment

The United States has reaffirmed its long-standing military partnership with Bahrain following a recent visit by CENTCOM Commander Admiral Bradley Cooper.

In a statement, US Ambassador to Bahrain Stephanie Hallett highlighted the depth of defence cooperation between the two countries, describing it as a relationship built over decades of “cooperation, integration, joint preparedness, and shared interests.”
Ambassador Hallett said she was honoured to welcome Admiral Cooper to Bahrain during the visit, which also served as an opportunity to reflect on the strong bilateral military ties.

She noted that both sides expressed appreciation for the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, particularly for their stance amid regional tensions and Iranian aggression.

“The United States military has been proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Bahrain Defence Force in defence of the entirety of the Kingdom of Bahrain,” the statement said, adding that Washington remains firmly committed to Bahrain’s sovereignty and security.
“We are here. We have been here. And we are not going anywhere,” the ambassador affirmed, underscoring the continued US presence and support in the region.
