Iraq Religious Body Condemns Attacks on Bahrain

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, received a message from Dr. Muhammad Ubaid Al-Kubaisi, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of Muslim Scholars in Iraq, expressing strong solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain, its leadership, government, and people.

The message conveyed the organisation’s condemnation of recent alleged attacks and hostile actions attributed to Iran, which it said affected Bahrain’s sovereignty, security, and stability.

The Secretary- General strongly denounced all forms of aggression that violate international laws and norms, stressing that targeting states or interfering in their internal affairs is an unacceptable practice that undermines regional and international peace and escalates tensions in an already fragile region.

He also reaffirmed the full support of the Iraqi scholars’ body for Bahrain’s right to safeguard its sovereignty and security in accordance with international law, expressing solidarity with the Kingdom during this sensitive period.

The message further highlighted the importance of unity, stronger cooperation, and collective efforts to address current challenges and preserve peace and stability in the region.
