NHRI Monitors Impact of Iranian Aggression on Rights

Reinforcing its commitment to protecting and documenting human rights developments in the Kingdom, the Office of the Board of Commissioners of the National Institution for Human Rights (NHRI) held its fourth regular meeting at its headquarters in the Seef District, chaired by Engineer Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, with the participation of the Deputy Chair, heads of permanent specialized committees, the Child Rights Commissioner, and the Secretary-General.
The office began its proceedings by reviewing actions taken by the Institution within its mandate since the onset of the Iranian aggression against the Kingdom of Bahrain. These actions included professional monitoring and documentation of human rights violations, evidence collection, and continuous coordination with relevant authorities to ensure prompt response to affected cases and provide necessary support. This effort also led to the establishment of a specialized subcommittee tasked with monitoring and documenting the crimes of Iranian aggression and their impact on human rights in the Kingdom.
Review
The meeting further reviewed updates on the Institution’s ongoing work and examined progress in coordination with civil society organizations. Discussions focused on strengthening field cooperation and enhancing joint efforts to support the protection and promotion of human rights.
The office also emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration with civil society institutions, describing them as key partners in reinforcing Bahrain’s human rights framework and advancing shared national objectives.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the Institution’s commitment to continue following up on its plans and strengthening its role in safeguarding and promoting human rights in line with national priorities and future aspirations.
