Bahrain, Pakistan FMs discuss regional tensions, cooperation

Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, held a telephone call today with Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

During the call, the two officials reviewed the strong friendship and cooperation between Bahrain and Pakistan, exploring ways to further enhance ties across various sectors.

They also discussed recent regional developments, particularly in light of ongoing Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Bahrain and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The attacks have resulted in loss of lives and property damage, posing a serious threat to regional security and stability.

The ministers further addressed coordination and political consultation between the two countries in international forums, especially as both currently serve as non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council. They emphasized the importance of continued joint efforts to strengthen regional security and stability through diplomatic cooperation.
