Man Arrested for Phone Installment Scam and Fraud
The Ministry of Interior announced that the Southern Governorate Police Directorate has arrested a 53-year-old man following multiple reports accusing him of fraud and deception.
According to authorities, the suspect sold mobile phones on an installment basis, then required customers to sign contracts which he later altered by falsifying details and inflating the amounts beyond the actual value of the devices.
The directorate stated that upon receiving the reports, it immediately launched investigations, collecting evidence and identifying the suspect before arresting him.
Legal procedures have been taken, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
