A Night of Intoxication Ends in Tragedy… Wife Dies, Husband Jailed

It was not an ordinary night, it was the beginning of a story that ended in an irreversible loss.

On a road in Seef District, a Gulf man was driving with his wife beside him. The streets seemed calm, but behind the wheel, a dangerous decision had already been made, driving under the influence of alcohol.

Within moments, the car spun out of control. Speed, impaired focus, and lack of caution collided in a single instant. The vehicle crashed violently, turning the scene into chaos and wreckage.

His wife was the first victim. She suffered severe head injuries and did not survive. The husband, however, lived sustaining a serious fracture in his left arm, left to face the consequences of that night.

The damage extended beyond them. Public property was also affected, including a road sign, a decorative tree, and a metal barrier evidence of the force of the crash.

Investigations confirmed that the defendant was heavily intoxicated while driving and had failed to observe basic safety precautions. His reckless actions ultimately led to his wife’s death.

After reviewing the case, the First High Criminal Court sentenced him to two years in prison, followed by deportation after serving his sentence.

A journey that began with a simple drive ended in traged, a life lost, and a man left with consequences that may follow him forever.
