Northern Municipal Council meets online via Teams amid regional tensions

The Northern Municipal Council held its thirteenth ordinary meeting of the fourth session of the sixth municipal term online via Microsoft Teams amid the tense circumstances affecting Bahrain and the wider Middle East.

The meeting was attended by Northern Municipality Director-General Eng. Mohammed Saad Al Sahli, council members, representatives of the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, and members of the media.

Opening the session, Eng. Al-Sahli said the meeting was held remotely due to the difficult and exceptional circumstances facing the Kingdom of Bahrain. He expressed hope that Bahrain will soon overcome the current situation and continue to enjoy security and stability.

He stressed that the people of Bahrain stand united behind the Kingdom’s leadership and fully support the measures taken to protect society and safeguard the country’s security and stability.

Al-Sahli added that national unity remains the strongest shield against external challenges and risks, highlighting the importance of solidarity and collective responsibility during the current regional situation.

The council proceeded with its agenda through the online meeting platform while observing precautionary measures linked to the ongoing circumstances.
