The U.S. Embassy in Bahrain urged American citizens to register with the U.S. State Department, highlighting the government’s readiness to assist those wishing to leave the Middle East.
In a statement obtained by Al-Ayyam, the embassy said citizens should complete the designated form online to receive assistance and updates. Those who have already submitted the crisis registration form need not resubmit it.
The embassy added that U.S. citizens in Bahrain can call (+1-202-501-4444) for information on departure procedures and available support. While commercial flights are currently not operating from Bahrain, land routes through Saudi Arabia remain accessible. The King Fahd Causeway is open for now, but its status may change without notice, and citizens are advised to monitor updates via official channels.
