The Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs has announced the continuation of the suspension of all court sessions in Bahrain until Thursday, March 5. The decision aims to protect the safety of both employees and litigants amid current security developments in the kingdom.

This morning, several lawyers attended courts in the Diplomatic Area, but no defendants in criminal cases were brought in. Those present were informed that all sessions had been administratively postponed until the specified date. The decision on resuming sessions will be reassessed next week based on the evolving situation.

Sources confirmed that the suspension covers all types of cases, including civil, criminal, and Sharia court sessions in Riffa. The temporary preventive measures were taken in response to recent security events over the past few days.

The move reflects the authorities’ commitment to public safety and the protection of both visitors and staff in judicial facilities. Updates will be announced through official channels as the situation develops.
