Bahraini Swimmers Complete 44.5 km Challenge, Receive Royal Praise

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, received the Bahraini swimming team that completed His Highness’ 44.5-kilometer swimming challenge. The swim began at Al Aziziyah in Saudi Arabia’s Sunset Beach Resort and concluded at Al Zallaq in Bahrain.

His Highness praised the swimmers, Abdullah Atiya and Louay bin Abdulwahid bin Abdulahad Tashkandi, for their high spirits and determination. He commended their efforts in completing the challenge in 22 hours, 2 minutes, and 24 seconds, highlighting that this achievement reflects the dedication of Bahraini youth and their ability to overcome challenges while proudly representing the Kingdom in international sports arenas.
