Bahrain Showcases Premium Tourism Offerings to Russian Delegation

Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, participated in a promotional conference organised by Russia Express, one of the leading tour operators in the Russian Federation. The event was attended by a group of travel agents specialising in luxury tourism as part of a familiarisation visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

During the conference, the Minister underscored Bahrain’s strategic focus on strengthening its presence in the Russian market, describing it as a key player in global travel flows. She noted that expanding target markets remains a central pillar of the Kingdom’s tourism development strategy.

Her Excellency emphasised that hosting specialised tourism delegations represents a practical step toward building long-term strategic partnerships with international travel industry stakeholders. Such initiatives, she said, help showcase Bahrain’s unique offerings to global markets, including its rich cultural heritage, high-quality events, and luxury tourism experiences tailored to diverse visitor segments.

She added that the Russian market has shown increasing demand for destinations that combine cultural authenticity with high service standards — qualities that Bahrain delivers through an integrated tourism ecosystem supported by modern infrastructure, diverse accommodation options, hospitality services, and entertainment experiences.

The Minister highlighted that enhanced cooperation with international tour operators aligns with the objectives of Bahrain’s Tourism Strategy 2022–2026, which aims to increase visitor numbers, boost tourism revenues, strengthen the sector’s contribution to GDP, and reinforce Bahrain’s position as a competitive destination both regionally and internationally.

The visit also included field tours to several of Bahrain’s key landmarks and tourism destinations, offering the delegation firsthand exposure to the Kingdom’s diverse experiences, advanced infrastructure, hotel facilities, and supporting tourism services.
