Luxury Tourism in Bahrain Gains Momentum

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) launched the fourth edition of Connections Luxury Bahrain at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain, in the presence of HE Fatema bint Jafar Al Sirafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the BTEA. The event is part of Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its position as a leading luxury tourism destination in the region and globally.

The event brings together a curated group of international luxury travel buyers with local tourism service providers, aiming to create direct partnerships and attract high-spending visitors to the Kingdom.

During the launch, Minister Al Sirafi highlighted that hosting specialized events like Connections Luxury reflects Bahrain’s advanced tourism capabilities, robust infrastructure, and exceptional hospitality experiences. She emphasized the importance of building sustainable links with global markets to support sector growth, enhance competitiveness, and align with the Kingdom’s economic and developmental strategies.

This year’s edition featured 35 international buyers and 35 local entities, with the majority of participants coming from the United Kingdom, along with attendees from India, Russia, Germany, and France, signaling growing international interest in Bahrain as a luxury tourism destination.

The program includes specialized business meetings and field tourism experiences, allowing international delegates to explore Bahrain’s luxury tourism offerings. The event will continue until 10 February 2026, supporting BTEA’s strategy to attract international markets and strengthen high-quality partnerships that position Bahrain prominently on the global tourism map.
