Finance Leaders Discuss Growth and Resilience at Al-Ula Summit

Yousif Abdullah Al-Hamood, Undersecretary for Financial Affairs at Bahrain’s Ministry of Finance and National Economy, participated in the Al-Ula Conference on Emerging Market Economies in Saudi Arabia. The event was inaugurated by Saudi Finance Minister H.E. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan and jointly organized by the Saudi Ministry of Finance and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The conference brought together global finance leaders, including IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, ministers, central bank governors, and senior economists from international and regional institutions.

Panel discussions addressed challenges facing global monetary and financial systems, structural shifts in the global economy, and private sector-led growth in emerging markets. The conference also provided a platform for sharing experiences, exploring innovative solutions, and discussing policies to promote inclusive growth, financial stability, and economic resilience.

On the sidelines, Yousif Abdullah Al-Hamood met with Gerard Cope Coles, Vice President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), to explore ways to strengthen collaboration in infrastructure financing and investment, alongside other shared priorities.
