HM King and HRH Prince Salman exchange congratulations on BDF 58th anniversary

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, described the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) as a source of national pride for the Kingdom.

His remarks came in response to a cable of congratulations sent by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, marking the 58th anniversary of the establishment of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).

HM the King congratulated HRH Prince Salman and all members of the BDF.

He also expressed his appreciation for their dedicated efforts in enhancing the BDF’s capabilities and performance through advanced training and modern armaments.

His Majesty highlighted their role in ensuring the highest levels of readiness and the effective deployment of advanced systems and technologies to safeguard the Kingdom and its civilisational achievements.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister conveyed his congratulations to His Majesty on behalf of all BDF members.

He highlighted the BDF’s embodiment of the highest values of pride, sacrifice, devotion, and loyalty, and its vital role in consolidating security and stability.

His Royal Highness noted that these efforts contribute to a prosperous future for generations to come.

He also emphasised the BDF’s role in promoting regional and international peace and security in partnership with the armed forces of other nations, in line with His Majesty’s comprehensive vision.

HRH Prince Salman emphasised the commitment to protect the Kingdom’s security, stability, sovereignty and continued progress.

Allegiance

HM King Hamad received a cable of congratulations from His Excelency Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, on the occasion.

H.E. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed conveyed his congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty, on behalf of himself and all BDF members.

He affirmed that BDF members renew their pledge of allegiance to His Majesty, reiterating their commitment to remain devoted soldiers and to continue offering dedication and sacrifice in service of the Kingdom.

National Guard

His Majesty also received a cable of congratulations from His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard.

HH Gen. Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa said that the BDF, with the efforts and follow up of HM King Hamad, has developed into a strong and steadfast institution with ongoing advancement, serving as the protector of the Kingdom, its sovereignty and achievements.

He added that His Majesty’s continued support has enabled the BDF to fulfil its role and contribute to international coalitions that uphold legitimacy and justice in support of security and peace.

Efforts

In response, HM the King sent cables of thanks to H.E. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed and HH Gen. Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa, in which he commended their efforts in developing the BDF at all levels.
