Speaker of Bahrain’s Parliament Receives Omani Shura Council Chairman

The Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, received Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, and his accompanying delegation at his office on Sunday morning.

The meeting was held on the occasion of the Omani delegation’s participation in the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, which is being hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain from January 24 to 28.

During the meeting, both sides highlighted the depth of the fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, under the support and patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his brother, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman.

For his part, Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome and generous hospitality. He praised Bahrain’s strong commitment to strengthening joint Gulf cooperation, as well as its distinguished efforts in hosting regional and international parliamentary meetings.

The meeting was attended by First Deputy Speaker Abdulnabi Salman Ahmed, Second Deputy Speaker Ahmed Abdulwahid Qarata, and Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives, Engineer Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain.
