Young Parliamentarians Take Part in Parliamentary Simulation Session

The Youth Pioneer Society organized a parliamentary simulation session on Saturday, January 24, 2026, as part of the Young Parliamentarian Program, in the presence of Dr. Jihad Al-Fadhel, Second Deputy Chairman of Bahrain’s Shura Council.

The session aimed to enhance legislative awareness and encourage parliamentary engagement among young people. Participants took part in a structured simulation that mirrored official parliamentary procedures, debating 10 legislative proposals focused on key issues affecting youth.

Five specialized committees were formed to reflect the work of parliament, covering Education, Environment, Public Utilities, Finance, and Youth and Sports. The discussions showcased the participants’ skills in policy development, structured dialogue, and parliamentary debate.

Dr. Al-Fadhel praised the outcomes of the program’s eighth edition, noting that the high level of participation demonstrated the initiative’s success in preparing a capable and informed generation ready to contribute to national development. She also commended the Youth Pioneer Society for its continued efforts in empowering youth through capacity-building programs.

Chairwoman of the Society’s Board, Ameera Mahmood, welcomed the Shura Council’s hosting of the session and said the event marked the conclusion of the third phase of the program, which included 47 participants. She added that the simulation offered valuable hands-on parliamentary experience and strengthened participants’ readiness for future public and institutional roles.
