High-Level Talks Emphasize Gulf Unity and Strategic Partnership
His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, affirmed that the relationship between Bahrain and Kuwait is a living historical legacy and a deeply rooted strategic partnership. He said the ties draw strength from the care and attention of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, reflecting the highest values of brotherhood and close cooperation.
His Excellency highlighted that the relations between the two brotherly countries serve as an exemplary model, driven by mutual efforts to expand cooperation in ways that serve bilateral goals and strengthen joint work within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) framework.
The remarks came during a meeting held at Al-Qudaibiya Palace, attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, on the occasion of the Kuwaiti minister’s visit. The meeting was also attended by Bahrain’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Salah Ali Al-Maliki, Kuwait’s Chargé d’Affaires in Bahrain, Yousef Al-Bannaw, and several officials from both sides.
At the start of the meeting, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid welcomed the Kuwaiti minister and his delegation, expressing appreciation for Kuwait’s supportive and brotherly stance toward Bahrain, which reflects unity and cooperation. He also praised Kuwait’s leading contributions to strategic infrastructure projects through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
His Excellency also emphasized the importance of the Supreme Joint Committee between Bahrain and Kuwait, noting its past sessions have produced constructive outcomes that strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation across political, economic, investment, and administrative development fields. He wished success for the committee in its current session hosted by Bahrain.
For his part, His Excellency Abdullah Al-Yahya thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for the warm reception and expressed his appreciation for Bahrain’s continuous efforts to advance bilateral relations, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain ongoing progress and prosperity.
