Abu Ghazal Park Reopens Following Major Upgrade

Manama: Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs, inaugurated Abu Ghazal Park in Complex 330, District Five of the Capital Governorate after the completion of extensive rehabilitation works.

The upgrade forms part of the Ministry’s wider strategy to improve public facilities and enhance the quality of services provided to residents across the Kingdom. The project included refurbishing the park’s fountain, installing rubber flooring in children’s play areas, adding new playground equipment, canopies and outdoor fitness facilities, and repairing fencing, signage and lighting. Landscaping works were also expanded, with additional tree planting to create a safe and welcoming environment for all age groups.

Covering an area of 5,642 square metres, the rehabilitated park aims to encourage healthy lifestyles, expand green spaces, enhance the urban landscape and offer a recreational and social hub for the local community. Officials highlighted the importance of continued cooperation between the Ministry and the Capital Municipality to ensure high standards in public facility development and long-term sustainability.
