Bahrain’s desert are - as have seen a surge in visitors as the winter camping season gets under way, with crowds gathering around the Tree of Life and other popular sites amid cooler weather.
Families, young people, residents and foreign tourists have been flocking to desert locations in recent days, turning them into busy leisure spots and highlighting the seasonal appeal of Bahrain’s desert landscape. The increase in visitors coincides with the camping season, which runs from December 5, 2025, to March 25, 2026.
The period traditionally draws large numbers of people to designated desert areas during the cooler months, with seasonal camps forming a central part of winter recreation and tourism in the kingdom.
