Bahrain’s Shura Council Hosts Jordanian Parliamentary Delegation

The Secretariat of Bahrain’s Shura Council welcomed a delegation from the Secretariat of the Senate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan over the past two days. The visit aimed to strengthen parliamentary cooperation and reinforce the long-standing relations between the two brotherly countries.

During the meetings, Mrs. Karima Mohammed Al-Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, highlighted the importance of enhancing joint parliamentary work and collaboration, reflecting the strong bilateral ties between Bahrain and Jordan and supporting the vision of the wise leaderships of both countries. The meetings were attended by Adviser Ali Abdullah Al-Aradi, Assistant Secretary-General for Resources and Digital Systems, Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Mohammed, Assistant Secretary-General for Legislative Affairs, and several officials from the Council’s Secretariat.

The Jordanian delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the Shura Council, its functions, and its role in Bahrain’s legislative process. They also learned about the Council’s Secretariat and its use of artificial intelligence to support parliamentary work and improve institutional and legislative efficiency. Presentations covered the workflow of Council sessions, electronic minute-keeping, committee management, legislative monitoring, and programs supporting council members and staff.

The delegation also toured the Council’s session hall, viewing its electronic and technological facilities, and visited several of Bahrain’s historical and cultural landmarks.
