At the outset, the Cabinet extended its congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on the 29th anniversary of the establishment of the National Guard.
The Cabinet reviewed progress on the implementation of directives issued by His Royal Highness to the Ministry of Labour to provide three job opportunities for every registered job seeker by the end of 2025. The initiative, which aligns with His Majesty the King’s vision to expand employment opportunities for Bahraini citizens, has exceeded its initial target, with three job opportunities offered to 18,657 job seekers and 4,746 citizens employed to date.
The Cabinet also followed up on the implementation of His Royal Highness’ directive to the Ministry of Social Development to increase financial support for low-income families through the cost-of-living allowance, which is set to take effect from this month.
Ministers noted the economic success of the Celebrate Bahrain Season and expressed their appreciation to government entities and private sector sponsors for their organisational efforts.
The Cabinet welcomed Bahrain International Airport receiving a five-star rating from Skytrax for the fifth consecutive year, recognising the achievement as a reflection of the Kingdom’s commitment to high service standards.
In regional affairs, the Cabinet welcomed the Yemeni initiative to convene a conference bringing together all southern parties to discuss fair solutions, and expressed its appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for hosting the conference. The Cabinet described the initiative as a positive step towards de-escalation, diplomatic solutions, and the promotion of regional security and stability in support of Yemen’s national interests.
The Cabinet reviewed and approved several memoranda and draft resolutions, including amendments to provisions governing the National Committee for Geospatial Information Governance, the designation of the minister responsible before the legislative authority for the National Arts Council, and the Government’s responses to proposals submitted by the Council of Representatives.
Ministers also reviewed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Quarterly Economic Report for the third quarter of 2025, which recorded a 4.0 per cent year-on-year growth in GDP at constant prices, driven by a 3.1 per cent increase in non-oil activities. The Cabinet further reviewed progress in implementing the 2022–2026 Tourism Sector Strategy.
In addition, the Cabinet reviewed reports on Bahrain’s participation in the opening ceremony of the Future Games 2025 and the Digital Sports Summit, as well as external engagements by ministers and official visits by foreign dignitaries to the Kingdom during January.
