"One Mission, One Vision: Education for All" – Filisian Institute Honors Graduates Across Diverse Disciplines

Filisian Institute proudly celebrated its 8th Annual Graduation Ceremony on December 12, 2025, at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Manama, honoring the achievements of graduates from the programs of Nursing Assistant, Caregiving, Massage Therapy, Human Resource Management, Business Management, Financial Accounting, and Hospitality Management. The ceremony was held under the theme “Una Mission, Una Vision: Educationem Pro Omnibus” — One Mission, One Vision: Education for All — underscoring the institute’s steadfast commitment to accessible, quality education and skills development.

The graduation ceremony was attended by faculty members, administrators, families, and a distinguished roster of guests from various industry sectors.

The event was honored by the presence of Honorable Dr. Orville A. Ballitoc, Labor Attaché of the Philippine Embassy to the Kingdom of Bahrain, as the Guest of Honor, and Mr. Jamsheer Fairooz of Uni Training as the Inspirational Speaker.

Also in attendance were notable leaders from the healthcare and education sectors, including Ms. Elize de Bod, Director of Nursing at the American Mission; Ms. Saira Alexander, Regional Chief Nursing Officer of Royal Bahrain Hospital and KIMS Health, together with Ms. Beena Sinoj and Ms. Shainy Joseph, Nursing Supervisor and Deputy Nursing Officer of KIMS Health; Ms. Kathrina Canosa of NOCN; and Dr. Abdulla Osama, General Manager of Dar Al Saha Medical Center. Community leaders Ms. Rosemarie Hernandez and Dr. Arthur Basbas, President and Vice President of the Filipino Club, were likewise present, reaffirming the Filisian Institute’s mission to nurture competent, values-driven professionals.

Inspiring Welcome Address

The ceremony opened with an uplifting welcome address from Filisian Institute’s visionary and innovative CEO, Ms. Magie Montalban Hara. Expressing heartfelt pride, she shared that witnessing the gathering of graduates and guests felt like “a glimpse of heaven,” reflecting the joy and fulfillment of the moment.

Ms.Hara emphasized that seeing the graduates wear their caps symbolized not only the completion of an academic journey but also the beginning of a new and promising chapter in their lives. She highlighted that the graduation stands as a testament to the students’ sacrifices, perseverance, and continuous growth despite challenges and uncertainties.

Encouraging the graduates to carry Filisian’s values wherever they go, she urged them to be light bearers in their homes, workplaces, and communities. She also expressed deep gratitude to the faculty and staff, recognizing them as the backbone of the institution whose dedication made the graduates’ success possible.

Inspirational Message

The ceremony was further enriched by an inspirational message from Mr.Jamsheer Fairooz, Unit Training’s Sales and Training Advisor. He expressed profound pride in the graduating class, affirming that they stood “in the right position and at the right time” to seize new opportunities.

Mr. Fairooz commended Filisian Institute for its commitment to equipping learners with industry-ready skills and emphasized that while education is important, skills are essential in navigating today’s competitive workforce. He encouraged graduates to be intentional in defining their paths, reminding them that clarity of direction shapes both personal and professional success.

He concluded his message by emphasizing, “Don’t say today, ‘that’s it, I am done.’ No - this is just the beginning.” He reminded the graduates that graduation marks not an end, but a beginning—one filled with responsibility, purpose, and opportunity, and he applauded the Filisian Institute for nurturing competent and future-ready professionals.

Keynote Message from the Labor Attaché Office

Adding depth to the celebration was the inspiring message of the distinguished guest, Honorable Dr. Orville Ballitoc, Labor Attaché of the Philippine Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He honored the graduates for their personal achievements and emphasized the transformative power of education in shaping a shared mission and vision for a brighter future.

Dr. Ballitoc described education as a bridge between who we are and who we can become—transforming potential into purpose, dreams into discipline, and aspirations into action. He expressed sincere gratitude to the families, mentors, faculty members, and administrators whose guidance he described as a “silent milestone” behind the graduates’ success.

Encouraging the graduates to live with discipline, resilience, and compassion, he introduced the guiding principles of “Una Missio, One Mission”. he reminded them that true leadership is reflected in the lives they uplift and the humanity they serve - ”a mission where education equips individuals to build communities, shoulder responsibilities, and lead with integrity”. He further shared Proverbs 16:3, urging graduates to entrust their plans to God as they move forward.

He continued with “Una VIsio, One VIsion,” emphasizing that “vision serves as a compass that guides action, especially when the road ahead seems uncertain” A shared vision, he noted, becomes a beacon of hope that unites individuals toward meaningful goals.

Dr. Ballitoc also highlighted “Educationem pro Omnibus—Education for All,” affirming that “education is not a privilege for a few but a right for all”. He emphasized that education is the fruit of perseverance and that anyone who perseveres deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, advance, and contribute to humanity. He challenged the graduates to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves and to defend the rights of the poor and the needy, underscoring that education empowers individuals to advocate not only for themselves but also for others.

He also shared to the graduates that the “graduation does not signal the end of learning but the beginning of a lifelong journey of growth”. He encouraged them to use their education to heal, empower, and inspire others to pursue their dreams, becoming blessings to their communities. He concluded by sharing Jeremiah 29:11, reaffirming God’s promise of hope and a prosperous future, and urged the graduates to be beacons of excellence for the Philippines and for the global community.

Recognition and Closing Remarks

Outstanding students from each department were given Special Recognition for exemplary academic performance and leadership, honoring their commitment, excellence, and dedication.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Alexis Garcia, Managing Partner of Filisian Institute, who reminded the graduates that the day stood as proof of their preparation, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment.

Dr. Garcia highlighted two essential elements of success: preparation and opportunity. He emphasized, “When you prepare, you open the door to opportunity. And when opportunity arrives, only those who are prepared can truly step into it.”

He further noted, “This graduation reflects the doors your dedication has unlocked—but remember, this is only the beginning. Greater challenges and bigger opportunities await. Prepare consistently and embrace every opportunity.”

Dr. Garcia encouraged graduates to view mistakes as learning experiences and to step forward with confidence as new doors open. He also acknowledged the invaluable support of trainers, partners, sponsors, and supporters who contributed to the success of both the event and the graduates.

He concluded with an inspiring message to the graduates: “To the 8th batch, may you continue to rise, grow, and inspire. May you always recognize and seize the opportunities ahead.”
