Art, Music, and Tradition Unite at Muharraq Nights Festival
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the launch of the fourth edition of the Muharraq Nights Festival today, part of the Celebrate Bahrain Season.
The festival takes place along the historic Pearling Path, from Qal’at Bu Mahir to the Pearl Museum – Siyadi Majlis, celebrating Muharraq’s rich cultural heritage.
HH Shaikh Mohammed highlighted that national festivals like Muharraq Nights play a key role in promoting tourism and the economy while reflecting Bahrain’s heritage and achievements under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
“The Muharraq Nights Festival strengthens Bahrain’s identity and showcases the Kingdom as a top cultural and tourist destination in the region,” he said. He also praised the organisers for their efforts in highlighting Muharraq’s authentic cultural identity.
His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), thanked HH Shaikh Mohammed for his support and noted that the festival has become one of Bahrain’s most important cultural events. He said it highlights Muharraq’s UNESCO-listed Pearling Path and continues to strengthen its cultural presence both locally and globally.
The festival is organised by BACA in partnership with leading banks and companies, including BBK, NBB, Alba, GFH, GPIC, and NBK. It runs daily until 30 December 2025, with events from 5 PM to 10 PM on Sunday to Wednesday, and 5 PM to 12 AM on Thursday to Saturday.
Visitors can explore multiple festival stations along the 3.5-kilometre Pearling Path, featuring art, music, crafts, culinary experiences, and guided tours. The festival combines traditional heritage with contemporary creativity, offering activities for both adults and children, including workshops, lectures, and interactive cultural experiences.
Highlights include exhibitions by local and international artists, traditional Bahraini crafts, live music performances, culinary stations offering local and international dishes, and guided heritage tours.
