Sierra Leone Explores Bahrain’s Education Success Stories
His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, received Her Excellency Dr. Ramatulai Wurie, Minister of Technical and Higher Education of the Republic of Sierra Leone. The meeting was attended by senior officials from both countries specializing in education, technical, vocational, and higher education.
During the meeting, the Bahraini Minister highlighted several ongoing and planned projects aimed at developing education, technical and vocational training, and higher education in the Kingdom. He provided an overview of key milestones in Bahrain’s educational history, showcasing major initiatives and achievements in the sector. Topics included the establishment and evolution of education, development of early childhood and school education, curriculum enhancements, strengthening digital educational infrastructure, digital empowerment, research and development, and international education indicators.
Officials from the Ministry of Education and the Higher Education Council also presented on educational methodologies, success stories, and future plans in Bahrain.
The Minister expressed his pride in Sierra Leone’s interest in learning from Bahrain’s educational experience, emphasizing the Kingdom’s achievements on international indicators. He credited these accomplishments to the dedicated support and guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the continuous oversight of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
For her part, Minister Wurie thanked the Bahraini Minister for the insightful overview and expressed her keenness to strengthen cooperation between Sierra Leone and Bahrain across all fields of education, technical, and higher education.
