Lieutenant-General His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Police Academy, attended the graduation ceremony of the 5th and 6th cohorts of postgraduate students at the Royal Police Academy this morning. The graduates included personnel from the Ministry of Interior and several other government bodies.
The ceremony was held in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, the Chief of Public Security, the Governor of the Southern Governorate, and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
A total of 100 graduates received master’s degrees in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics, Human Rights and Criminal Justice, Artificial Intelligence, and Disaster and Emergency Management. The programs are delivered by the Royal Police Academy in partnership with the University of Huddersfield in the United Kingdom.
On this occasion, the Interior Minister expressed his deep gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for His Majesty’s continued support of police officers and for ensuring their development through advanced knowledge, strategic training, and human sciences—key elements that strengthen their vital role in safeguarding national security.
He also extended his appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his constant oversight and support, which has significantly enhanced the readiness and excellence of security services.
The Minister emphasized that the four postgraduate disciplines serve as a valuable addition to the academy’s programs, particularly in reinforcing human rights principles within policing, advancing competencies in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, and strengthening preparedness for disasters and emergencies.
He congratulated the graduates on obtaining their master’s degrees, commending their academic dedication and highlighting the importance of their expertise in elevating the quality and efficiency of security services in the Kingdom.
