Bahrain, UAE Explore Joint Space Initiatives at Dubai Airshow
Shakih Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Bahrain Space Agency, met with Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, UAE Minister of Sports and Chairman of the UAE Space Agency, during the Dubai Airshow 2025 to strengthen space collaboration between the two countries.
The meeting highlighted joint efforts in satellite design, space research, and training national talent. Both sides stressed the importance of strategic partnerships to advance national goals and strengthen Bahrain and the UAE’s presence in the global space arena.
Shakih Khalid also toured the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, meeting UAE astronaut and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi, along with other Emirati astronauts. He learned about current and upcoming projects, including collaborative initiatives with the Bahrain Space Agency, aimed at boosting deep space exploration capabilities.
Accompanying Shakih Khalid were Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Essaeri, CEO of the Bahrain Space Agency, and board member Khalid Ashir.
