Youth Must Prepare for Civil Service to Serve the Nation: Dr. Raju Narayana Swamy IAS

The closing ceremony of the Mini Math Olympiad, organized jointly by the Students Guidance Forum (SGF) and Edupark, was distinguished by the presence of prominent figures from Bahrain’s social, cultural, technological, and educational sectors. The keynote speech and subsequent Q&A session by Chief Guest Dr. Raju Narayana Swamy IAS, popularly known as Kerala’s anticorruption crusader provided a unique experience to the attendees.

Discussing changes in modern information technology, he motivated the younger generation to embrace national service by understanding the current environment. Sharing his administrative experience and personal anecdotes, Dr. Narayana Swamy repeatedly urged parents and teachers to encourage students to participate in exams like the Civil Services, highlighting the need for commitment and a responsible approach.

He praised the Students Guidance Forum (SGF) for organizing such events, stating that if the organization can encourage even one child, it is performing a great service. He also declared his interest in actively participating in their future endeavors.

The closing event, presided over by SGF Chairman Abraham John, included the honoring of Dr. Raju Narayana Swamy with an SGF certificate of appreciation by Mr. Sunil Raj Rajamani during the 'Coffee with Dr. Raju Narayana Swamy' segment. A Q&A session organized by the Tamil International Engineer Forum attracted significant attention.

The presence of Pravasi Bharatiya Samman awardees was notable. Mr. K.G. Baburaj inaugurated the program. Attendees included senior journalists Mr. Soman Baby and Mr. Pradeep Puravankara (4 PM Daily Tribune), Indian Club Vice President Mr. Vidyadharan V.M., Gulf Madhyamam representatives Mr. Fayis Abdurahman and Mr. Jaleel, Friends Association President Sayyid Ramadan Nadvi, Abdulrahman Kanoo International School CEO Mr. Sunil Raj Rajamani, Officer UPP Chairman Dr. Suresh Subramaniyam, Bahrain Kerala Samajam General Secretary Mr. Varghese Karakkal, Indian Ladies Association President Mrs. Smitha Jaison, and many other dignitaries representing various community organizations.

Vijayakumar, a former teacher at the Indian School and a jury member for the Mini Math Olympiad, led the event arrangements. The program was coordinated by Edupark directors Bashir Muhammed, Zakariya Chullikkal, and Mrs. Rejeena Ismail, along with SGF associates Said Haneef and Richard Immanuel, who collectively honored the chief guest with a shawl.
