Bharathi Association’s Diwali Gala Draws Over 1,400 for Humorous Pattimandram

The Bharathi Association, in coordination with Starvision Events, hosted a dazzling Diwali Gala Function at the Golden Eagle Club Indoor Auditorium (formerly the Gulf Air Club), celebrating the Festival of Lights in grand fashion. The event was declared a monumental success, drawing a packed crowd of over 1,400 attendees and establishing itself as the "Talk of the Town" within the Indian diaspora. The celebration was graced by Bathurudeen Abdul Majeed, a respected Tamil language enthusiast and prominent businessman in the Gulf Region, who served as the Chief Guest.

The highlight of the evening was the Pattimandram, a traditional Tamil debate format renowned for its blend of humor, intellect, and cultural depth. The session was moderated by the highly celebrated Tamil orator and humorist Dindigul Leoni, whose wit and commentary captivated the massive audience. Mr. Leoni, also known as the Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation, ensured the debate was filled with non-stop laughter, keeping the audience engaged until the very end of the program.
