Woman jailed for life over drugs case

The Fifth High Criminal Appeals Court has begun hearing the case of a Bahraini woman sentenced to life imprisonment and six men each jailed for one year, all convicted in a major drug trafficking and abuse case.
The 30-year-old woman, previously released from the Reformation and Rehabilitation Centre in 2024 after serving a drug-related sentence, reportedly returned to the same illegal trade.
Investigators said she turned her apartment into a den for drug users, selling narcotics to visitors or throwing packets out of her window to customers waiting outside.
