HM King honours nation’s innovators at Al Sakhir Palace

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa affirmed that Bahrain’s entrepreneurs and start-up founders are at the heart of the Kingdom’s development journey, describing them as key drivers of innovation and sustainable economic growth.
During a gathering at Al Sakhir Palace, held in the presence of His Majesty’s sons, senior members of the royal family, advisors, ministers, business leaders, and citizens from across Bahrain’s governorates, the King expressed pride in meeting distinguished professionals and achievers from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The meeting began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by His Majesty’s address.
His Majesty commended Bahraini entrepreneurs and owners of start-ups and small enterprises, noting that their achievements go beyond commercial success to contribute meaningfully to the national economy through creative ideas, valuable investments, and lasting impact. HM praised their determination in overcoming market challenges and expanding internationally, calling their success a reflection of Bahrain’s robust private enterprise foundations.
HM the King underlined that these foundations were built on the modern systems and long-standing commercial traditions established by pioneering Bahraini traders who helped create a dynamic economy. His Majesty described the private sector as a cornerstone of national development and future aspirations.
HM said that the positive performance of the entrepreneurial sector reinforces confidence in Bahrain’s investment climate and economic environment, supported by advanced programmes and strong institutional cooperation with organisations such as the Labour Fund (Tamkeen). His Majesty affirmed that these collective efforts make Bahrain an ideal investment destination and an integrated regional centre for entrepreneurship.
His Majesty extended appreciation to Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and the ministry’s staff, as well as to the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for strengthening Bahrain’s position as a hub for innovation and enterprise in line with the nation’s vision for progress and prosperity.
Thirteen Bahraini entrepreneurs were honoured at the ceremony, representing diverse sectors ranging from digital technology and healthy foods to fashion design and logistics. Among them were innovators such as Parcel Delivery, Lalabella, Early Riser, Butterfly Technology, and Malaeb Online Services, each recognised for their contributions to the national economy and for expanding Bahrain’s entrepreneurial footprint beyond its borders.
