BKS serves Onam Feast to over 5,000 people

The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) hosted a grand Onam Sadya (traditional Onam feast), serving the meal to over 5,000 people as part of its ongoing ‘Shravanam 2025’ Onam celebrations.
The feast commenced yesterday at 10:45 AM at the Samajam premises. A host of local and international dignitaries attended the event to partake in the elaborate meal. Notable guests included H.E. Vinod K. Jacob, the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain; His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis Catholicos, Head of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church; Divya S. Iyer, IAS officer; and Shabri Nath, former Member of the Legislative Assembly.
The traditional Onam Sadya, featuring a full complement of dishes, was prepared under the expert guidance of renowned culinary master Pazhayidom Mohanan Namboothiri. The event drew a strong turnout of both expatriate and local attendees, highlighting the cultural significance of the harvest festival in Bahrain.
