Bahrain Expands Job Opportunities for Citizens Following Crown Prince’s Directives

Following the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Ministry of Labour has announced measures to provide three job opportunities to each registered job seeker before the end of this year. The initiative, implemented in cooperation with the private sector, aims to enhance the integration of Bahraini citizens into the labour market, offering diverse options and ensuring swift fulfillment of their career aspirations, while reinforcing their role as essential partners in building a competitive and sustainable economy.

Speaking on the initiative, His Excellency Mr. Yusuf bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Legal Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour, emphasized that these directives align with Bahrain’s national approach under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which places citizens at the centre of development as the nation’s true wealth and a cornerstone for a sustainable future. He described the initiative as a qualitative shift in employment policies, providing citizens with multiple opportunities that meet their ambitions and enhance their contribution to economic growth.

The minister explained that offering three job options to each registered job seeker reflects the ministry’s continuous efforts to empower citizens and strengthen their active participation in the labour market.

To ensure rapid implementation of these directives, the Ministry of Labour has extended its working hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. until the end of the year. His Excellency highlighted the confidence in Bahraini human capital as a world-class national force and emphasized that investing in citizens’ capabilities is an investment in Bahrain’s future and its competitive position as a leading and attractive investment destination.

The minister also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry for its positive response and active support in providing job opportunities for citizens, affirming the private sector’s role as a key partner to the public sector within Team Bahrain. He added that this renewed partnership serves as a fundamental pillar of the nation’s development and prosperity, reflecting a shared commitment to empowering national competencies and strengthening their role in building a thriving country for its citizens.
