Electronics gadgets sell like hotcakes at retail fair

The stall of Bin Hindi Informatics, the authorised dealer of Samsung products in Bahrain, saw an unprecedented rush yesterday at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre as a large number of people rushed there to buy electronic goods.

A huge line of customers was also visible in front of the stall waiting for their turn, before the Bin Hindi Informatics officials could open the stall. The crowed rushed to the stall when it was opened at around 10.15am. The stall was abuzz with sales activities for the next one-hour, as the competition was intense among the customers to buy the products of their choice.

According to Ali Al Hujari, Marketing Manager of Bin Hindi Informatics, almost all the products, which were displayed at the stall, were sold out within the first hour. “We had to bring the stock three times again. Samsung tabs, especially Tab 3 and Tab 4 was high in demand. Printers were also sold like hotcakes,” he said. He added that stock would be updated again today.

The four-day Bahrain Retail Fair 2015 being held under the patronage of Minister of Industry and Commerce, Zayed R Al Zayani, will conclude on Saturday.

A. Hamid Al-Asfoor, Managing Director of Albayan Media Group, the organiser of the event, stated that more than 80 Bahraini companies had been selling products of nearly 700 brands at fair. More than 40,000 people are expected to visit the fair, he said.
