HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister at Bahrain’s National Day, Expo 2025 Osaka

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today attended the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Day celebrations, held under his patronage, at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

His Royal Highness noted the importance of World Expo, which has historically served as the leading international platform for enhancing global cooperation across key sectors and for promoting sustainable innovation and development.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad outlined the exhibition’s role in advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and fostering international cooperation to work towards achieving them.

His Royal Highness affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to participating in international exhibitions and events, recognising them as important platforms for showcasing the Kingdom’s achievements and reinforcing its standing on the global stage. This commitment aligns with Bahrain's goals of comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

During the National Day celebrations, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister viewed a variety of heritage performances, cultural shows, and Bahraini artistic displays. In this regard, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad commended the National Day event for reflecting an honourable image of the Kingdom of Bahrain, highlighting its rich history, authentic civilisation, and deep-rooted heritage.

His Royal Highness noted that celebrating National Day at Expo 2025 Osaka reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s openness to the world and embodies its steadfast commitment to the values of peace, cooperation, and partnership.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad also toured the Bahrain Pavilion and was briefed on its programmes and events.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pavilion serves as a platform to showcase the nation’s heritage and achievements, while also enhancing cultural and economic exchange with the countries participating in Expo 2025 Osaka.

In addition, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister set out the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to promoting its investment and economic assets in support of desired sustainable goals and aspirations.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister extended his gratitude to the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) and the organisers of the pavilion, who have created an immersive experience that reflects the Kingdom’s rich culture and ongoing progress.

His Royal Highness expressed his pride in the Kingdom’s national workforce, whose achievements continue to enhance Bahrain’s stance and presence across various international forums.

In a speech delivered by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of BACA, Commissioner General of the Kingdom of Bahrain Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, he extended his warmest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Day celebration at Expo 2025 Osaka.

Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed highlighted the significance of this celebration, through which the Kingdom proudly showcases its identity to the world and reaffirms the values it has always cherished. Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed noted that these values have, throughout Bahrain’s long history, established the Kingdom as a bridge between civilisations, a safe harbour for trade, and a destination for science, knowledge, and culture.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, today visited Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, including touring several pavilions including those of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The visits took place on the margins of the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to Japan, during which His Royal Highness attended the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Day celebrations, held under his patronage at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.

His Highness affirmed the significance of Expo as a prominent global platform that keeps pace with modern developments and offers extensive opportunities to explore innovative solutions that contribute to shaping the future.

His Highness highlighted the remarkable achievements of international exhibitions noting that they have become a prominent global feature that brings together the efforts of countries within a
comprehensive framework.

His Highness noted that the Expo events provide opportunities to showcase the latest technologies and innovations, strengthen international cooperation, and serve as a forum for developing joint solutions that support sustainable development.

During the visit to the pavilions, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman also reviewed the rich content and distinguished initiatives showcased, spanning various sectors.

His Highness outlined that these pavilions serve as a cultural window reflecting the distinguished presence of their countries in international forums, and highlight their contributions to strengthening engagement with other nations through the innovations and creativity they present, which embody their identities and future aspirations.

His Highness noted that Japan’s hosting of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai reflects its continued support for diverse development paths.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that, as part of its efforts to maintain order, combat crime, and implement law enforcement campaigns and conduct inspections of those violating residency conditions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) police at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science (in two separate incidents) arrested six Asians in East Riffa for violating residency conditions and selling and trading tobacco and alcoholic beverages.
