Deputy Prime Minister Inaugurates New Abdullah bin Khalid College for Islamic Studies Building in Riffa

On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, officially inaugurated the new building of Abdullah bin Khalid College for Islamic Studies, located in Riffa. The ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Education, was attended by prominent officials, including His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court; His Excellency Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health; His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; and several other dignitaries.

During the ceremony, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa expressed profound gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for naming the college after the late Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, in recognition of his lifelong contributions to the nation and Islamic scholarship. He highlighted the late Shaikh’s dedication to spreading Islamic knowledge, promoting authentic Islamic values, defending national principles, and enhancing Bahrain’s presence in academic and intellectual arenas.

His Excellency emphasized that the Crown Prince’s patronage of the inauguration underscores the government’s commitment to supporting higher education institutions, recognizing their pivotal role in developing well-rounded Bahraini citizens who are both knowledgeable and rooted in national and religious values.

The new college building is equipped with modern educational facilities and advanced technologies, offering students and faculty expanded opportunities for creativity, research, and academic excellence. This milestone marks a significant step in the ongoing development of Abdullah bin Khalid College as a leading center for Islamic studies in Bahrain.
