ASU and LSBU Offer Dual Award Law Programme Providing Graduates with Expertise in Both Bahraini and British Legal Systems

Applied Science University (ASU), in academic collaboration with London South Bank University (LSBU), is offering a distinctive LLB (Hons) Law programme designed to deliver a globally competitive legal education in Bahrain.

This unique programme, taught entirely in English, leads to two official degrees—one from ASU and one from LSBU—giving graduates a significant advantage in local and international legal markets. It is designed for international and regional high school graduates aspiring to build professional careers in law or related fields.

The University offers partial scholarships for the first academic year to all newly admitted students in the London South Bank University (LSBU) Bachelor LLB (Hons) Law dual award programme for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, ranging from 25% to 35%, depending on high school graduation grades. For the remaining three years, the scholarship percentage ranges from 15% to 25%.

The programme begins with a foundation year (Level S), focusing on enhancing English language proficiency and academic skills, while introducing key principles of both Bahraini and English law. Students also complete three mandatory modules—Arabic Language, Bahrain Civilisation and History, and Human Rights—in line with Bahrain’s Higher Education Council requirements to promote national identity and legal culture.

In the subsequent three years (Levels 4, 5, and 6), students develop comprehensive legal knowledge and professional skills preparing them for careers in legal practice, consultancy, judiciary roles, or further postgraduate studies and qualifications, both in Bahrain and internationally.

The programme is delivered by a team of internationally experienced faculty members, supported by state-of-the-art facilities and professional training opportunities. Partial merit-based scholarships are available for outstanding students.
