Bahrain and Mexico Celebrate 50 Years of Diplomatic Relations

The Kingdom of Bahrain is marking the golden jubilee of its diplomatic relations with the United Mexican States, commemorating 50 years of strong bilateral ties that began in 1975. On this significant occasion, Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s pride in the enduring and evolving relationship with Mexico, characterized by mutual respect and ongoing cooperation across various fields.
In a statement, the Ministry highlighted the depth of the friendship between the two countries, underpinned by decades of constructive dialogue, regular political consultations, and shared values. These relations, built on a foundation of mutual understanding, have been reinforced through high-level meetings and consistent coordination on regional and international matters of common interest.
The Ministry commended the wide range of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding signed over the past five decades. These include key partnerships in economic cooperation, investment protection, tourism, and cultural exchange, forming a strong legal framework that supports the long-term strategic partnership between Bahrain and Mexico.
Looking ahead, Bahrain reaffirmed its commitment to expanding joint cooperation with Mexico to serve shared interests and contribute to sustainable development. The Ministry emphasized the importance of building on the achievements of the past 50 years, opening new avenues for collaboration that further strengthen the historic and friendly ties between the two nations.
