Youth Ministry, WHO enhance cooperation

Bahrain and the World Health Organisation (WHO) discussed ways of enhancing joint cooperation in the sector of youth-oriented public health.
This came as Her Excellency Shaikha Dina bint Rashed Al Khalifa, Planning and Development Advisor at the Ministry of Youth Affairs, received Dr. Asad Hafeez, Acting Representative of WHO in the Kingdom.
Shaikha Dina bint Rashed emphasised WHO’s role in supporting and developing health systems globally.
She commended its efforts in promoting prevention and healthy lifestyles for youth, individuals and communities. The Ministry Advisor highlighted the ministry’s interest in partnering with leading international bodies, including WHO, to implement health and awareness programmes.
